I had my three week follow-up visit with Ortho and Radiology. Still have two broken bones. I asked if they were complete breaks, like all the way, nothing hanging on to something. The Orthopedic doctor said the two breaks were both completely broken. I still have to be on crutches and in the cast for another three weeks...mostly because one of the bones I broke is the first metatarsal, the bone behind the big toe. The big toes have a big part in balance and walking.
I am pissed that I have broken bones.

About the foot
I finally went to the ER after a painful Super Bowl Sunday water break. The verdict? Two broken metatarsals. I now have traded the borrowed walker for my very own NEW crutches. As a bonus, I got a boot of many velcro bindings. So much velcro that I feel like my left foot has launched it's own rap career. Two weeks into the disabled life, I can already see my left leg atrophy before my eyes. And I buckled my plastic outdoor mini-stool as I showered. I only weigh a respectable 105. WTF?

What a fine Super Bowl.
I hate the Steelers, as I am a Houston fan. You can do the rest. Still, as a fan of an AFC team, I pinched my ass and pulled for the hated Steelers. Many times I found my resolve tested. I hate the Steelers, but I love an AFC win. Glad to know there was a Longhorn on both teams.
